Influenza Vaccination for all People Aged 50 and Over

Statement date: 24 April 2020

There is a considerable proportion of 50-64 year old’s who are at increased risk apart from because of their age.

Were influenza vaccination to be routinely implemented, it would not only produce a higher uptake in the “at risks” but also in the healthy 50-64 cohort such that there could be a considerably greater individual protection as well as an important improvement in herd immunity.
